Your participation in the survey is entirely voluntary, and you can opt out at any stage by closing and exiting the browser. Your data will be processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016 (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Lancaster University and Coventry University are Data Controllers for the information you provide. You have the right to access information held about you. You may also have other rights including rights of correction, erasure, objection, and data portability. Your data will be held securely on password protected servers at Lancaster University and Coventry University and will only be viewed by members of the research team. Any data exchanged between these institutions will be anonymised to minimize any risk in the event of a data breach.
If you consent to provide your personal data at the end of the questionnaire, you are free to withdraw your responses at any time until the data are fully anonymised in our records on 31/12/23. You should note that your data may be used in the production of formal research outputs prior to this date and so you are advised to contact us at the earliest opportunity should you wish to withdraw from the study. To withdraw, please contact the lead researcher (contact details are provided below). You do not need to give a reason. A decision to withdraw, or not to take part, will not affect you in any way.
If you do not provide us with any personal data, it will not be possible to later withdraw your data from the survey as they will not be identifiable.
